Remark:
This image has a strong resemblance (but is different) with the 1973 acrylic on masonite ‘Migration (The Great Flood)’, as shown op page 195; Sinclair, L., & Pollock, J. (1979). The Art of Norval Morrisseau. Toronto, New York, London, Sydney: Methuen. At the moment part of the collection of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto.
Note:
1) However Smithonian states is from circa 1975, that’s more likely the date of the original. This ALVO silkscreen has to be between 1978-1981. One collector bought it in end of 1980/beginning of 1981. I estimate it ca 1980, but confirmation is necessary.
